Seiji Kawajiri Donates Public Art to Kyoto Station’s East Plaza, Creating a “Garden” to Experience Kyoto Light Tea Room “KIWA” to Open in “NIWA”, a New Establishment Launching in March 2025

Seiji Kawajiri, founder of the KAWAJIRI FOUNDATION, has donated public art and the Light Tea Room “KIWA” to Kyoto City through his foundation. The public art, created by NAKED, INC., a leading creative company, will be installed in the 7th Floor East Plaza of Kyoto Station Building and is set to begin construction in March 2025, with completion planned for March 2026. Meanwhile, the Light Tea Room “KIWA” will be housed inside the new NIWA restaurant, which will open to the public in March 2025.
