New release

KAWAJIRI FOUNDATION now accepting scholarship applications for 2024.

■ A scholarship program inspired by Kawajiri’s personal struggles with affording tuition.
The KAWAJIRI FOUNDATION was established on March 3, 2022, and was certified as a public interest incorporated foundation by the Cabinet Office on November 1, 2022. Based on founder Seiji Kawajiri’s own experience of having to give up a college education, the foundation was started with the desire to support university students who have difficulty paying their tuition fees despite their academic excellence. This scholarship program provides scholarships to university students enrolled in economics-related faculties who are facing difficulties paying their tuition. Through this scholarship program, the Foundation will contribute to the development of talented individuals who can contribute to society in the future.

■ A message from founder Seiji Kawajiri
Based on my own experience of giving up on a college education, my goal has been to create an environment where children do not have to give up on higher education or enrolling in school for financial reasons and instead be presented with equal opportunities to receive an education. We will continue to support them in the 2024 year.
